Olomouc is the church capital of the Czech Republic. Why?…

This is me, grumble. Because I wanted to admire the underground beauty in Moravsky Krasus, and dragged me to Olomouc. Not the season, you see, cavers ...

In general, in Olomouc (in my opinion) everything is too much, as in a museum with an illiterately built exposition. Well, like forty-eight irons on one windowsill. At some point, you stop distinguishing fountains from statues, and squares - from lanes, because they are all of the same type.

In the center of a certain geometric figure, a baroque thing sticks out of buildings, green with time. Either in saving another glorious European town from the plague epidemic, or in thanks to the next king, I don’t remember the number ...

Among all, one plague pillar stands out in honor of the Brightest Trinity. This Baroque monument, decorated with a sculptural group of 18 statues and topped with a majestic image of God the Father, erected in 1754. It is the largest in Central Europe in height (35 meters), in size and in the number of Baroque sculptures combined into a single whole. In 2000, he added to the list of cultural sites taken under the protection of UNESCO.

The Cathedral of St. Anne (it would not have lied, but in my opinion, it is) was struck not so much internally - they came across more beautiful than externally. In the niches on the facades of the surrounding buildings are sculptures, in the courtyard there are neatly crown trees, but all black, as if they had survived a fire. And if everything is clear from the Port of Nigra in Trier, it is even understandable with statues, but with trees it is absolutely unclear nothing. Such is the mystery of St. Anne.

But in Olomouc, right near the cathedral, there were narrow and steep streets, from which the bastard is not childish. I had to indulge my desire and piled up right on the clean (!) Czech cobblestone pavement for a photo shoot. This is not for you in the center of Red Square to fall into the mud - two big differences, forgive me Muscovites.

There is also a town hall there, as it should be, and a funny thing - an astronomical clock. They show everything that pleases, only instead of saints and other things, after 1968, stonecutters, shepherds and other ragman riffraffers appeared in a barbarous manner. That does not spoil them in any way.

Just when we were dismissed at lunch in Olomouc for lunch, on the contrary, a showcase showed up on which, cheerfully, through the March snowball: “Sweats”, I mean products. My enthusiasm diminished even more. I already bear snow very much, or rather, to say it - I re-work myself every time, at the sight of him so that I won't fall into hysterics. And sometimes it is impossible to overcome, but I will tell you about this some other time.

Antosha knows that my relationship with snow is more than uneasy. Therefore, he led me to dine in a cute zucchini full of local students. As expected, the portions are large, student prices. The only inconvenience is no smoking room. But we are not any snobs, I will suffer ...

With fellow travelers our Petersburg missed lunch, outside the window the winter blizzard spread out completely. Therefore, Olomouc, between us, almost did not leave impressions - the museum, it is a museum in Africa ...
